Outreach & Mercy Ministries

Throughout the year, we seek to share the love of Christ in both word and deed. As a church, we are committed to proclaiming the good news of Jesus and serving those in need within our local community. Below are some of the regular outreach and mercy ministries we are involved in.

Food Bank (Weekly during School Term):

Our Food Bank ministry provides practical support to individuals and families within our local community. Each week during the school term, around 50 people access the ministry, receiving fresh fruit and vegetables alongside a range of non-perishable food items. More than simply providing food, the ministry offers a welcoming and safe environment where people can connect with others, receive encouragement, and build meaningful relationships. It also provides opportunities for pastoral care, prayer, and support, as we seek to demonstrate the love of Christ in both word and deed.

When? Thursdays, 2:00 PM–3:00 PM (during school term)

He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important command. The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.
— Matthew 22:37-39

Annual Christmas Carols:

Each year, we host a community Christmas Carols event as an opportunity to celebrate the birth of Jesus and connect with our local community. It includes a free BBQ , Christmas carols, and readings from the gospels on the story of Christmas. We also share a short gospel message, presented in both English and Farsi, making the event accessible to people from a variety of backgrounds. It is a wonderful opportunity for families, friends, and neighbours to come together, enjoy fellowship, and hear the good news that God has sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world.

She will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.
— Matthew 1:21

Summit (English Conversation Classes for women):

We are thankful to partner with local gospel workers who are passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with people from all backgrounds. Through our partnership with Summit, we host free English conversation classes for women that provide a welcoming environment for people to practice their English, build confidence, and develop friendships. These classes create valuable opportunities to connect with members of our local community, support those who are new to Australia, and share the love and hope of Christ in meaningful and practical ways.

When? Thursdays, from 11 AM to 1 PM (during school term)

Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
— Matthew 28:19-20
